Former Russom Student Gives Back to Elementary School

East Paulding Middle School student, Johnathan Sartain, completed his Eagle Scout project this summer.

A former Russom Elementary student, Johnathan wanted to give back to a place that helped him “Grow” so much.

So…he decided to re-design and rebuild our outdoor classroom. After a great deal of hard work and a lot of support from his family, troop, other scouts and the community, Johnathan was able to do so ahead of schedule!

Following his work this summer, he asked the Russom PTA to name the garden in honor of someone who was very special to Russom Elementary. Staff voted and it was an overwhelming response to name the garden the Dr. Libby Bell Outdoor Classroom.
