PCSD Receives Thousands from Carroll Electric Membership Cooperative

The Paulding County Board of Education has received thousands of dollars from one of its utility providers.

The Carroll EMC Board of Directors issued checks to its members this fall, after concluding the electric cooperative was financially sounds. Instead of reinvesting its profits, it returned that money to its members.

The Paulding County Board of Education received a little more than $2,000. It was part of a capital credit refund to Carroll EMC's member-owners who received electric service in 1994 and 1995.

This isn't the first time the Paulding County Board of Education has received a refund from an electric cooperative. Last month, Greystone Power also sent the BOE a check:Tens of Thousands of Dollars Returned to Board of Education
